Minneapolis based designer with experience in print design, web design, logo design/corporate identity, design for apparel, and various other projects. Creativity keeps me going, sometimes caffeine is also required. When I'm not hanging out in the Adobe Creative Suite, I've been known to frequent the Minneapolis karaoke circuit. If you heard me singing "Who Let the Dogs Out" or anything by Shaggy...my sincere appologies.
Visual brand identity or a company's logo is the face of a brand. I love working with businesses to define who they are with this powerful symbol. A brand's visual identity is typically their first impression on potential clients or customers. Strong branding can go a very long way.
Print design is my bread and butter. This has made up the majority of my experience in recent years. I have designed everything from business cards to catalogs to vehicle graphics and trade show displays. On top of that, sourcing print is one of my specialties. I've worked with many national and local printers to produce print materials for almost anything you can imagine.
Having a web presence is basically a requirement for any business at this point. I excel at working with businesses to design the way the world sees them digitally. Mobile/Responsive design is also hugely important as mobile web useage grows higher with each year. If your business does not have a web presence or is lacking mobile capabilities, I'd love to work with you.
Starting as a production artist, I've paid my dues and worked my way up in the design industry. I've gained experience as a freelancer, in-house designer at a printing company, marketing designer at an apparel company, and creative director of my own business. Each position has offered unique challenges and learning experiences that have expanded my knowledge and have helped me broaden my range.
As a huge NFL fan, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at redesigning all 32 NFL Team helmets. After posting to Reddit and Imgur, the helmet designs went absolutely viral! Over 1.7 million views on the Imgur page alone, the helmets were featured on hundreds of websites and were trending on Twitter.View All 32 Teams on IMGUR
One of my first big breaks came when a design I submitted to Threadless.com called "Facial Hair Club for Men" was selected to be printed. I was awarded $2500 in cash and prizes and the design sold out in less than a week!
This lead to many opportunities designing for apparel.
